Egg Custard image

One of my dad's favorite desserts was Egg Custard ... I made this and now it is my daughters ...

Number Of Ingredients 6

4 eggs
2 c (1 pint) half and half
1/4 c sugar
a pinch salt
1 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp nutmeg

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 325° F.
  • 2. Add the ingredients to blender and mix, about 10 seconds.
  • 3. Pour into ramekins, sprinkle with nutmeg, and put the ramekins in a baking dish.
  • 4. Add water to the baking dish until it's halfway up the sides of the ramekins.
  • 5. Bake for 45 minutes or until just set. Makes 6 (4 ounce) servings.
