Easy Scalloped Potatoes image

I creates these potatoes one day when I was first learning to cook and since then a family favorite. I purchased smoky natural ham at my local Wegmans' Grocery Store, and had the Deli Dept. slice 1 piece a 1/2 inch thick.. I cube it up into small bite size pieces.

4 russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
1 small onion, chopped
1 can(s) campbell's condensed soup, cream of celery - 10.75 oz.
¾ soup can milk
1 Tbsp flour
season salt, and pepper, to taste
2 Tbsp buttter, chilled and cube in small pieces
1/2 lb 1/2 inch thick slice of a smoky natural ham

Steps:

  • 1. Pre heat oven 350°F. In a small bowl, combine the flour, salt, and pepper, set a side.
  • 2. In another bowl combine soup and milk, mixing well.
  • 3. In a 3 quart casserole, butter the sided and bottom, add 1/3 of onions evenly on bottom. Add 1/3 of the potatoes, ½ diced ham, spreading evenly over onions. Sprinkle ½ of the flour mixture. Dot with 1 tbsp. butter.
  • 4. Top with remaining onions and ham 2/3 potatoes. Sprinkle remaining flour mixture. Dot with 1 tbsp. butter.
  • 5. Add the remaining potatoes; pour the soup mixture over top of the potatoes.
  • 6. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour 20 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
