DUTCH BABY WITH APPLES image

2 Tbs. Butter
2 Tbs. Brown Sugar
1 Tsp. Cinnamon
1/8 tsp. Cloves (if desired)
2 large tart apples, sliced thin

2/3 C. Flour
2/3 C. Milk
2 large eggs

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 425 In a cast iron skillet, melt the butter. Add the brown sugar & cimmamon, and stir till it begins to bubble. Add apple slices and cook for 2 minutes. Put skillet into oven while preparing the egg mixture (about 5 minutes). Use a blender, food processor, or whisk to beat milk and eggs. Add flour, and mix just until blended. Remove the skillet from the oven, and spray PAM around edges of pan. Pour egg mixture over the top of the apples. Return to oven and bake for 15 minutes. It should puff up, and turn a nice golden brown. Let it set for a few minutes before cutting and serving.
