Dutch Baby image

I've been cooking this for 30 years. This is how we like it but it can be served with fresh fruit, whipped cream, sauteed apples, whatever!

Number Of Ingredients 7

c flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
pinch salt
1 c milk
5 eggs
2 Tbsp melted butter
fresh lemon juice and powdered sugar for topping

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 425 with 12 inch skillet inside to preheat. If the skillet is too small the pancake won't rise.
  • 2. Mix dry ingredients with milk.
  • 3. Add eggs one at a time mixing well.
  • 4. Add melted butter
  • 5. Pour into greased 12 inch skillet. Bake 20-25 minutes.
  • 6. Serve with butter, lemon juice and powdered sugar to top.
