Drunken Chili image

Delish chili. Some of the ingredients reminds me of bloody Mary's. Taste and adjust for seasoning and spice to your liking. Add more or less sirracha to kick up the heat or tone it down.

2 tablespoon(s) oil
1 medium onion diced
1 medium green pepper diced
3 stalk(s) celery diced
4 clove(s) garlic minced
1 pound(s) ground beef
3 tablespoon(s) prepared horseradish
1 tablespoon(s) sirracha sauce
3 tablespoon(s) worcestershire sauce
1 package(s) chili mix
28 ounce(s) crushed tomatoes
1 can(s) black beans drained
46 ounce(s) tomato juice
1 small lime juice and zest
1/2 cup(s) red wine
1 cup(s) vodka
1 large bay leaf
- salt and pepper to taste
1 cup(s) shedded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Add oil to large Dutch oven. Saute the onion, celery, green pepper, and garlic. Add the burger and cook until browned.
  • Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. reduce to a simmer and simmer 30 minutes.
  • Remove bay leaf and serve topped with some shredded cheddar cheese.
