Dreamy Orange Cake image

I sell out of this cake for every school bake sale.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 pkg orange cake mix
1 box vanilla pudding
8 oz candied orange peel
4 eggs
1 c sour cream
1/3 c oil
1 tsp orange extract
1 c powdered sugar
2 Tbsp orange juice

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350; grease and flour one tube pan or 2 small loaf pans.
  • 2. Dredge candied orange peel in flour.
  • 3. In large bowl, combine cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, sour cream, oil and orange extract. Beat on medium until well blended.
  • 4. Mix in candied fruit and pour into prepared pan(s).
  • 5. Bake 1hr, check center with a toothpick.
  • 6. Glaze: Combine powdered sugar and orange juice; drizzle onto cooled cake.
