Fun to make with the kids to cool off during the summer - but everyone loves to eat this! We've tried it with orange soda, cream soda, root beer, 7-UP and cola. Yummy, easy to make and not a lot of prep or clean-up.

Number Of Ingredients 3

2 - 12 ounce(s) cans or bottles of dr. pepper soda pop (opened about 30 min. to de-fizz a little)
1/2 cup(s) sweetened condensed milk
1 cup(s) whole milk or half-and-half

Steps:

  • Stir all ingredients together and allow a few minutes to let the foam settle.
  • Pour into an ice cream maker and churn for 25 - 30 minutes.
  • Scoop, serve and enjoy! May be transferred to freezer-safe bowl(s) w/lids and kept frozen for several days. Any kind of soda pop can be used. If you want a little more tartness or zip to the taste, you can substitute buttermilk instead of the whole milk or half-and-half.
