Dill & Butter Peas - Spend With Pennies image

Butter Peas are the ultimate side dish! Garden & snap peas are sauteed until tender-crisp, then tossed in a buttery lemon-dill mixture.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 cup frozen green peas
2 tablespoons vegetable broth (or chicken broth or water)
2 tablespoons butter
2 cups sugar snap peas (or snow peas)
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon fresh dill (chopped)
salt & pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Add green peas and water to a medium skillet. Cover and cook over medium high heat 3 minutes or until peas are thawed.
  • Add butter and snap peas. Cook uncovered 4-5 minutes or until snap peas are tender crisp. Stir in lemon juice and cook until heated through.
  • Remove from heat and toss with fresh dill. Season with salt & pepper to taste.
