Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 F.; grease an 8-inch square baking pan (or use cooking spray).
- 2. Combine butter, sugar and vanilla in bowl; add eggs and beat well with an electric mixer on low speed.
- 3. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; gradually add to egg mixture, beating until well blended; stir in chocolate chips.
- 4. Spread batter evenly into pan.
- 5. Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan; cool completely in pan on wire rack and cut into bars.
