Dads simple liver and onions image

I loved when my dad would make this dish, especially because of the caramelized onions, yummy!

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 Tbsp canola oil
2 large onions, thinly sliced
2 Tbsp flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1-1/2 lb beef liver, sliced into steaks

Steps:

  • 1. In lg skillet, heat oil over med-high heat. Add onions, and saute until caramelized.
  • 2. Remove onions to a bowl and keep warm. In lg shallow bowl, mix together flour, salt and pepper. Coat liver steaks lightly w/ flour mix. Add liver to skillet, pouring in a little more oil, as needed.
  • 3. Brown the liver 5 mins each side or until cooked through. Top liver w/ onions and serve.
