Number Of Ingredients 7

1 c wide egg noodles
2 c chicken broth plus 1/4 c more in case needed
1 c white rice
salt and pepper to taste
2 Tbsp butter
2 c cooked chicken breast (optional)
1 c frozen peas (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. In a medium sauce pot, heat 1 tbsp butter and add uncooked egg noodles. Stir frequently until noodles have browned. Add broth and rice to the pot of egg noodles and stir to ensure rice will not clump at the bottom. Bring to boil and turn down to low and cover for 20 minutes, not stirring. After 20 minutes, turn off heat and fluff with fork adding remaining 1 Tbsp butter, salt and pepper and any additions until warm.
