CRUNCHY ONION BACON POTATOES image

Everybody loves the combination of potatoes, cheese and bacon. Throw in some crunchy onions and you've got a casserole to write home about! What could be easier? Recipe & photo: French's.com 10-16-14

Number Of Ingredients 4

6 c prepared mashed potatoes
10-12 slice bacon, cooked and crumbled
2 c shredded cheddar cheese
2 c french fried onions

Steps:

  • 1. Layer half of the potatoes in an 8-inch square baking pan and sprinkle with half the bacon, half the cheese, and half the onions. Top with remaining potatoes.
  • 2. Bake in a preheated 350ยบ oven for 20 minutes or until hot. Top with remaining bacon, cheese, and onions. Bake 5 minutes more or until cheese is melted.
  • 3. NOTES: may use store-bought mashed potatoes, already prepared, such as Bob Evans, or may use homemade. If using homemade the prep time will be longer.
