Crunchy Granola image

This is an adopted recipe that I can't wait to try! My husband likes granola, and is diabetic. This looked like a good one to make for him. :) Would be great in a big ol' bowl to munch on as an appetizer!

Number Of Ingredients 10

3 1/2 c old fashioned oats
1/2 c wheat germ (or i like bob's red mill 10 grain hot cereal mix)
1/2 c coconut
1/4 c sesame seeds
1/4 c almonds
1/4 c sunflower or millet seeds
1/4 c honey
1/4 c oil
1 Tbsp vanilla
1/2 c raisins, reserve

Steps:

  • 1. Mix all together with electric mixer, spread evenly on 2 baking sheets with edges, and bake in 250 oven until golden brown (45 to 60 minutes).
  • 2. Turn and stir after 30 minutes.
  • 3. Remove from oven, add raisins.
  • 4. Cool and store in plastic bag.
