Unfried Ice Cream! image

I don't know about you, but I've always found making fried icecream at home to be a delicate operation which quite often ends in failure. Here's a great way to get that fried icecream taste at home while avoiding any mishaps! Enjoy!

2 c very fine graham cracker crumbs
1/2 c butter
2 tsp cinnamon
french vanilla ice cream

redi whip or real whipped cream
maraschino cherries (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. Line a small tray with freezer paper.
  • 2. Scoop out icecream and form into balls
  • 3. Place icecream balls in the freezer until firm.
  • 4. Melt butter in a medium skillet over medium heat, then stir in graham cracker crumbs and cinnamon and cook stirring constantly for 5 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from heat
  • 5. Transfer the graham cracker crumbs into a shallow dish and allow to cool.
  • 6. Once crumbs have cooled, place ice cream ball into crumbs and roll until icecream balls are evenly coated with crumbs.
