Crock Pot Seafood Cioppino image

It's full to the brim with clams, crab, fish & shrimp & is fancy enough to be an elegant meal.

Number Of Ingredients 17

1 - 28 oz. can(s) tomatoes with onion & garlic, diced
2 large onions, chopped
3 ribs - celery, chopped
1 - 8 oz. bottle(s) clam juice
1 - 6 oz. can(s) tomato paste
1/2 cup(s) white wine
10 clove(s) garlic, minced
2 tablespoon(s) red wine vinegar
2 tablespoon(s) olive oil, extra virgin
1 tablespoon(s) italian seasoning
1 tablespoon(s) sugar
1 - bay leaf
1 pound(s) haddock fillets, cut into 1" pieces
1 pound(s) uncooked small shrimp, peeled, deveined & tails off
1 - 6 oz. can(s) lump crabmeat, drained & picked through for shells
1 - 6 oz. can(s) chopped clams
2 teaspoon(s) parsley flakes, dried

Steps:

  • In a 4 or 5 qt. crock pot, combine the first twelve ingredients. Cover & cook on low for 4 - 5 hours.
  • Stir in the haddock, shrimp, crabmeat & clams. Cover & cook 30 minutes longer or until fish flakes easily with a fork & shrimp turn pink. Stir in parsley. Discard bay leaf.
