Crock-Pot Polynesian Pork Chops image

This is a recipe that is a make ahead dinner. The flavors of sweet and savory is a delight! Very easy and it will make you home smell wonderfull!

Number Of Ingredients 16

6-8 thick pork chops, trimmed
1 onion, cut into wedges
1 1/2 c chopped celery
1 clove garlic , minced
1 ince of ginger , grated
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp black pepper
1 - 19 oz pineapple tidbits
1 c pineapple juice
1 c water
1 1/2 c white rice
2 tsp cornstarch
1/3 c vinager
2 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt

Steps:

  • 1. Place all ingredients up to the rice into a crock pot.
  • 2. Cook on low for 8-9 hours or longer for falll apart meat.
  • 3. Remove from crock pot with a slotted spoon and place on a serving platter-Pour liquid into a medium saucepan
  • 4. Whisk together the remaining ingredients and add to ingredients in saucepan-over medium high heat-and cook until thickened to your preference.
  • 5. Pour over chops and serve.
