Crock Pot Cabbage image

I made this for luncheon a lot at the cottage. Everyone went nuts over it. And the amazing thing is no one had any gas from eating the cabbage...thanks to the apples!

Number Of Ingredients 8

one med cabbage quartered
2 sliced apples (cored) any kind you desire
1 to two onions sliced/use red onions for color
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 c apple juice/states frozen but i use bottled
1/2 c chicken broth
3 Tbsp spicey mustard
3/4 tsp salt

Steps:

  • 1. Spray crock pot with nonstick spray(Lightly)
  • 2. Mix in the crock the cabbage, onion, and top with the apple slices
  • 3. Mix together the seasoning, the broth, the apple juice,and the mustard. Pour over the cabbage in the crock pot.
  • 4. Cook on low heat 6 to 8 hours or until cabbage is done. Be sure to stir the items every two to three hours and serve the cabbage with a slotted spoon.
