Steps:
- Heat 3 tbsp butter in a sauce pan over medium heat and cook flour and salt together in the melted butter.
- When flour is cooked evenly and starts to turn into light golden in color slowly add half and half cream and mix well.
- Add cream cheese and stir continuously so that every ingredient mixes well with each other.
- Add seasoning of pepper and nutmeg and cook until mixture gets thick and starts bubbling, then remove the pan from heat.
- In another pan sauté onion and garlic in remaining 2 tbsp of butter for 2-3 min until become pink.
- Add spinach and water and simmer for 8-10 min.
- Add prepared cream cheese sauce and Parmesan cheese to the cooked spinach and mix evenly.
- Take out the creamed spinach in serving platter and serve with mashed potatoes and garlic bread.
