Creamed Corn ( Crock Pot Style) image

This corn is a wonderful accompaniment to any meal. It will be served for Thanksgiving, and Christmas in my home. It has become a tradition. I like making this not only because it's delicious, but frees me up to do my other meal preparations. Once you start eating this, you can't stop, it's sooo good!

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 cup(s) milk
1 cup(s) heavy cream
2 tablespoon(s) sugar
3/4 teaspoon(s) salt
2 teaspoon(s) worcestershire sauce
1/8 teaspoon(s) cayenne pepper
1/4 cup(s) quick-mixing flour, such as wondra
3 - 16 ounce(s) packages of frozen whole kernal corn, thawed and drained. i either use my fresh frozen corn, or birdseye brand
1/4 cup(s) grated parmesan cheese
2 tablespoon(s) chopped fresh parsley ( optional)
- pepper to taste

Steps:

  • In crock pot, whisk together the milk, cream, sugar, salt, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne, and flour until smooth. Stir in corn.
  • Cover and cook on the high setting 3 to 3 1/2 hours, stirring once or twice, until bubbly and thickened. Serve, garnished with parsley, cheese, bacon, whatever you decide. I often serve with crumbled bacon.
