Creamed Chipped Beef Over Toast image

2 ounces dried beef
2 teaspoons butter or margarine
1 tablespoon flour
1 cup fat-free milk or low-fat milk (1%)
2 slices whole grain toast

Steps:

  • 1. Pour enough hot water over beef to cover. Soak for 20-30 minutes. Pour off water and slice beef into strips.2. Melt butter in a small saucepan. Stir in flour with a wooden spoon until well mixed.3. Add milk a little at a time until all milk is added.4. Add beef and heat until bubbly.5.
