Cream of Chicken and Green Chili Soup image

Number Of Ingredients 10

4 ounce(s) flour
1/2 pound(s) margarine
1 each - onion, diced
2 cup(s) green chili, chopped
1/2 gallon milk
1 quart(s) sour cream
1 tablespoon(s) garlic powder
1/4 cup(s) chicken base, diluted
2 pound(s) chicken meat, cubed
1 quart(s) heavy cream

Steps:

  • One pot method.
  • Using a thick, heavy stockpot, saute onion, and green chili in margarine, add flour.
  • Heat milk, then add the sour cream, diluted chicken base, chicken, and spices.
  • Add heavy cream and chicken.
  • Add to step #1. Heat. NOTE: May need to thicken with cornstarch.
