CRANBERRY WASSAIL image

Yield 42 4oz servings

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 gallon cranberry juice 5 cups apple juice 2/3 cup sugar 4-3inch cinnamon sticks 2 tsp whole allspice 1 med orange
sliced 20 whole cloves 2 1/2 cups brandy or vodka
opt orange slices and whole cloves to garnish

Steps:

  • Combine cranberry juice, apple juice, sugar, cinnamon sticks and allspice in a large pot. Heat to boiling over med heat and reduce and simmer 10 minutes. Strain punch to remove spices. Serve warm in heat proof bowl or chill and serve over ice. May stir in Brandy or Vodka if chilled. Garnish with orange slices studded with cloves.
