CRANBERRY SAUSAGE QUICHE image

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 9-inch frozen deep dish pie shell
1/2 - 1 lb sage sausage
1/4 cup chopped sweet onions
3/4 cup dried cranberries
1 1/2 cups (6 oz) shredded Monterey Jack or cheddar cheese
3 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cups half and half

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Let pie shell stand at room temp 10 minutes. Do not prick shell. 2. Bake pie shell 7 minutes. Remove from oven and set aside. 3. Reduce oven temp to 375 degrees. 4. Cook onion and sausage in skillet over medioum heat. Crumble sausage and stir until browned. Remove from head and drain off fat. 5. Stir in cranberries and let cool 10 minutes. 6. Stir cheese into cooled onions & sausage. Pour mixture into pie shell. 7. Combine eggs and half and half in bowl and whisk until blended. Pour over sausage & cheese in pie shell. Sprinkle a few cranberries on top if desired. 8. Bake 40-45 minutes or until knife in center comes out clean. Let stand 10 minutes, serve.
