CORNMEAL ONION RINGS image

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 large onion, sliced in thick rings. Separate rings
Soak in:
2 c buttermilk
1 1/2 t salt
1 t pepper
For crust:
1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. cornmeal
1 t salt
1/2 t pepper

Steps:

  • Heat oil to 350 F Let onion rings drip to remove excess liquid. Toss in flour mixture. Fry until golden brown, turning once. Drain onpaper towels. Keep warm in 200 F oven up to 30 min.
