Steps:
- 1. Melt half butter in a skillet. Add chopped onions and cook over medium heat partially covered, until tender and lightly colored. Transfer onions and butter to large mixing bowl. 2. Melt remaining butter in the same skillet. Add apple chunks over high hear until lightly colored but not mushy. Add to mixing bowl. 3. Add remaining ingredients to bowl and combine gently. 4. Spoon into a casserole, cover. Bake at 325 degrees for 30-45 min. Add cider or juice as needed to keep moist.
