Corn Casserole image

I received this recipe from a lady we lived close to in Alabama Her name was Helen. She made it one night when we all got together at her nephews house Mr. & Mrs. Tommy Hart. My husband makes this request often. I have found living here in Oklahoma that I can not get the white cream style corn...so I buy the white whole kernel...

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 can(s) white cream style corn *
1 c bisquick mix
1 egg-well beaten
4 oz can(s) chopped green chilis
8 oz cheese-shredded
1/2 c milk
2 Tbsp sugar
black & red pepper to taste
1 Tbsp margarine

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375'
  • 2. In a bowl: Mix corn, bisquick mix, egg, milk, sugar, black pepper,red pepper, and margarine.
  • 3. In a casserole dish; layer half the batter, half the chilies and half the cheese. Repeat.
  • 4. Bake in 375 degree oven for 35-40 minutes.
