Cooking Essentials: Pork Rind Breadcrumbs image

Okay, sounds strange... tastes awesome. They are very easy to make, and you use them in the same way you would use panko or regular breadcrumbs. They are gluten-free, and Keto-diet friendly. The main photo is my baked parmesan chicken, using pork-rind breadcrumbs. So, you ready... Let's get into the kitchen.

PLAN/PURCHASE
6 pork rinds, unseasoned variety, 1 bag
various other dry spices, to taste

Steps:

  • 1. PREP/PREPARE
  • 2. A 6-ounce package of pork rinds will yield 2 cups of crumbs.
  • 3. Gather your Ingredients (mise en place).
  • 4. Add the pork rinds to a food processor, fitted with an S-blade, and use 1-second pulses, until they look like traditional breadcrumbs.
  • 5. Place in a jar with a tight-fitting lid, and store in the fridge until ready for use.
  • 6. PLATE/PRESENT
  • 7. Use in any recipe that calls for breadcrumbs: Casseroles Fried Foods Topping for Pasta Chicken Fish Pork Meatballs Meatloaf Macaroni & Cheese Green-Bean Casserole And so much more.
  • 8. Here is my recipe for breaded pork, and chicken: 2 cups pork rinds crushed 2 1/2 cups Parmesan cheese grated 2 tsp garlic powder 2 tsp onion powder 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp black pepper 3 tsp dried parsley 1 tsp dried basil 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 9. Keep the faith, and keep cooking.
