COOKE FAMILY EGGNOG image

16 (24/32) large eggs
1 cup (1.5/2 cups) sugar
1 bottle (1.5/2 bottles)brandy
1/2 bottle (3/4 bottle/1 bottle) rum
1.5 qts (2.25 qts/3 qts) half-and-half

Steps:

  • Separate eggs. Beat eggs yolks until thick. Add sugar gradually, beating. Then slowly add the brandy and rum, mix well. Stir in half-and-half. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into egg yolk-cream-liquor mixture.
