COCONUT BALLS image

These kinda taste like an almond joy if you use almonds. but I like mine with walnuts.

Number Of Ingredients 11

COCONUT BALLS
2 c chopped or ground almonds, toasted or walnuts
1 13 ounce bag flaked coconut
3 c powdered sugar
1 14-oz. can sweetened condensed milk
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 c or (1 stick) unsalted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
CHOCOLATE COVERING
3 c melting chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
2 Tbsp vegetable shortening

Steps:

  • 1. Mix all ingredients together for coconut balls. when well blended, rolls into small balls and place on a long piece of wax paper.
  • 2. Melt chocolate chips/pieces in double broiler or a small pan inside another pan that has water so that top pan is at least half covered.
  • 3. Dip each ball into melted chocolate and return to wax paper. THEN EAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
