CLASSIC CHOCOLATE FONDUE image

8 oz. bittersweet chocolate, chopped
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 tbsp. kirsch
1/4 tsp. almond extract
Angel food or pound cake, cut into 1-inch cubes
Dried apricots, plumped in hot water
Fresh fruit, such as grapes, strawberries, cherries, or figs
Marshmallows

Steps:

  • Place the chocolate and cream into a fondue pot or heat-proof bowl set over simmering water. Stir until melted and smooth. Stir in kirsch and almond extract. Set fondue pot with mixture over a candle or canned heat. Arrange cake, fruit, and marshmallows in platters and serve with skewers for dipping.
