Clam Chowder Recipe - (4.4/5) image

Number Of Ingredients 12

3 cups diced Yukon potatoes
5 slices bacon, diced
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery
2 tablespoons flour
2 bottles clam juice
1 salt & pepper to taste
5 cans minced clams with juice
2 cups half-and-half
1 cup cream
1/2 Stick of REAL Butter
Chopped parsley for garnish

Steps:

  • Cook potatoes in a separate pot of water for about 15 minutes, or until potatoes are tender. Cook bacon until crisp in a large, heavy pot. Add onion and celery to bacon drippings; sauté until softened. Stir in flour and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add remaining ingredients. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until clam chowder thickens and bubbles, or about 3 minutes.
