Number Of Ingredients 14

1 large onion, chopped
1 pound(s) extra lean ground beef
1 clove(s) garlic minced
1 tablespoon(s) chili powder
1 teaspoon(s) ground allspice
1 teaspoon(s) ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon(s) ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon(s) red cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
1 1/2 tablespoon(s) unsweetened cocoa
1 can(s) 15 oz. tomato sauce
1 tablespoon(s) worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon(s) cider vinegar
1/2 cup(s) water

Steps:

  • In larges killet, over medium-high heat, saute onion and ground beef, until beef is browned. Add garlic, chili powder and stir until combined.
  • Add allspice, cinnamon, cumin, cayenne pepper, salt, cocoa, tomato sauce, worcestershire sauce, cider vinegar, and water.
  • Reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 1/2 hours. Traditionally Cincinnati Chili is served over spaghetti, we add shredded cheddar cheese on top. This is called a 3-way. This chili is also great on top of hot dogs, add cheese and you have a great cheese coney.....enjoy!
