It takes the traditional green bean casserole (mushroom soup, green beans, and crunchy fried onions and adds a layer of creamy Velveeta cheese. Steps:
- 1. In a 13x9 pan, mix together drained green beans, cream of mushroom soup, salt, pepper, and French fried onions.
- 2. With a cheese slicer, slice the Velveeta cheese. Layer on top of the green bean mixture.
- 3. Melt butter in a large bowl.
- 4. Combine with crushed corn flakes.
- 5. Spread on top of the cheese.
- 6. Bake uncovered at 375 for 40 minutes - watching that the Corn Flakes do not get too brown.
- 7. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
