CHRISTMAS CUT-OUT COOKIES image

Yield 10 dozen

Number Of Ingredients 14

5 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup sour cream
Frosting:
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 rounded Tbsp soft butter
1 tsp vanilla
milk

Steps:

  • Cookie: Mix butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until creamy. Mix in sour cream. Add dry ingredients. Chll dough at least 4 hours. Roll out small amounts at a time o floured board. Cut and bake a 425 for 6 - 10 mins depending on cookie size and thickness. Cookies should be slightly browned on bottom. Cool and frost. Frosting: Sift sugar and add all the other ingredients together. Color with food colorin if desired.
