Chop Suey Cake image

An easy cake to make from scratch. Pineapple cinnamon and nuts team up for a winning combination.

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 cups white sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
2 eggs
1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple with juice
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup confectioners' sugar
2 tablespoons milk

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking soda and cinnamon. Add the eggs, pineapple and nuts, mix until well blended. Pour into the prepared pan.
  • Bake for 45 minutes in the preheated oven, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. In a small bowl, stir together the confectioners sugar and milk until smooth, spread over cooled cake.
