CHOCOLATE SNICKERDOODLES by freda image

Sinful in Chocolate. If you like Snickerdoodles, Don't pass these up. Guaranteed you'll be back for more.

Number Of Ingredients 12

CHOCOLATE SNICKERDOODLES
1 1/3 cup(s) sugar
1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
2/3 cup(s) butter
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla
2 1/4 cup(s) flour
1/2 teaspoon(s) cream of tartar
3/4 teaspoon(s) soda
1/3 cup(s) hershey's cocoa
2 - 4 tablespoon(s) sugar ( for rolling)
- optional: melted chocolate for dipping and chopped nuts make for sinful cookies.

Steps:

  • Preheat Oven @ 375. Cream together, sugar salt, & butter. Beat in Eggs. Continue beating til light & fluffy about 4 min. Add: Vanilla
  • Add: flour, cream of tartar, Soda, & cocoa. Mix til combined. Chill dough 1 hr.
  • Roll dough into 1" balls or larger. Roll in the remaining 2-4 TBS sugar.
  • Place on un-greased baking sheet, 2" apart. BAKE 11 min. @ 375, or til done and tops begin to crack. DO NOT OVER BAKE. . . Remove from oven let rest 2 min, then Cool on rack. TIP: These Can be rolled in PDR SUGAR in place of the granulated sugar. TIP#2: Can dip in melted Chocolate and Nuts for the Sinful kind of cookies.
