Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Bread image

non stick cooking spray, for spraying the loaf pans.
1 box 15.25 oz. chocolate cake mix
1/4 c oil
4 ripe babanas, mashed
2 large eggs
1/2 c water
1 1/2 c peanut butter chips
PEANUT BUTTER GLAZE
1 c confectioners' sugar
2 Tbsp peanut butter
3 to 4 Tbsp warm milk or water

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray two 9 X 5 loaf pans with non stick cooking spray.
  • 2. Combine the cake mix, oil, mashed bananas, eggs and 1/2 cup water in a large bowl and mix with a hand mixer or whisk until well blended, about 2 minutes. Fold in peanut butter chips. Evenly divide batter between two loaf pans.
  • 3. Bake until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 40 to 50 minutes. Let cool in pans 10 minutes then remove and let cool on cooling rack.
  • 4. FOR THE GLAZE. combine confectioners' sugar peanut butter and 3 tablespoons of the warm milk or water and whisk until smooth. It should be as thick as pancake batter. If it's too thick add a little more liquid.
  • 5. Pour some of the glaze over each loaf and let set about 10 minutes. Slice with a serrated knife and serve.
