Steps:
- Heat oven to 350°F.
- Combine flour and baking powder. Beat butter and sugar in large bowl with mixer until light and fluffy. Add egg and cherry juice; mix well. Gradually add flour mixture, mixing well after each addition.
- Chop cherries coarsely. Add to cookie dough along with the nuts; mix well.
- Drop tablespoonfuls of dough, 1 inch apart, into 38 mounds on baking sheets sprayed with cooking spray.
- Bake 8 to 9 min. or until edges are lightly browned. Cool on baking sheets 1 min. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.
- Melt chocolate as directed on package; drizzle over cookies. Let stand until firm.
