Chinese Peanut Sauce image

I like to serve this over pasta with steamed vegetables. Garnish with some diced cucumber.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1/2 c peanut butter (you can use either creamy or crunchy)
3/4 c hot water
2 Tbsp tamari
2 Tbsp sugar
3 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp cider vinegar
cayenne, to taste
salt, to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Place peanut butter in a bowl. Add hot water and stir until wel mixed and smooth.
  • 2. Stir in remaining ingredients and mix well. Sauce will thicken as it cools. (It can get thicker than you think it will, so you want it a little on the thin side. If it is too thick, add a little hot water - too thin, add peanut butter.)
