Chinese Noodles and Slaw image

Number Of Ingredients 13

- 2 pkgs. chickenf lavored ramen noodes, spice packs reserved
- 1 cup slivered almonds
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 1 medium ehad cabbage,f inely shredded
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp. sesame seeds
- 1 bunch gren onions, chopped
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 4 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 cup cider vinegar
- spice packs from noodles
- pinch of salt
- pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Boil noodles as pkg. directs but don't add spice packs. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop cooking; drain again.
  • Toast almonds in butter. Mix the noodles, toasted almonds, finely shredded cabbage, pepper, sesame seeds and green onions.
  • Prepare dressing by mixing the oil, sugar, vinegar, spice packs from noodles,salt and pepper. Pour dressing over salad and allow to chill several hours before serving. Serves 8 to 10
