CHILI SAUCE MEATLOAF image

2 1/4 Pounds lean Ground Beef
1 cup Heinz chili sauce
1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
1 cup Spanish Onion (peeled and chopped)
1 cup quick-cooking oats
2 large Eggs
3 to 4 teaspoons grey poupon mustard or horseradish mustard
1 teaspoons Salt
1/2 teaspoon coarse ground pepper
3 tablespoons chili sauce

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325°F. In a large bowl add meat, onions, 1 cup of chili sauce, oats, eggs, mustard,salt and pepper. Mix ingredients until thoroughly blended. Pack in 9-inch x 5-inch loaf pan and smooth top. Coat top with 3 tablespoons chili sauce. Place loaf on a cookie sheet to catch any overflow, cook in 325-degrees F oven until thoroughly cooked (center reaches 160-degrees F), about 40 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool in pan for 15 minutes. Remove meatloaf from pan and slice crosswise into 1 inch thick slices.
