2 lbs chicken skinned
1 - 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup brown sugar packed firm
1/4 cup apple juice
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 clove garlic crushed
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1 tablespoon of corn starch
1 tablespoon water

Steps:

  • heat oil in a non stick skillet over a medium high heat. add chicken and lightley brown on all sides, turning frequently, for about 6 to7 minutes. combine next 9 ningredients in a bowl; add to chicken. bring to a boil, cover reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. in a samll bowl blend corn starch and water. add to chicken and cook, stirring, until sauce thikens and galzes chicken pieces. serve warm as an appetizer or as a main course over rice
