I HAVE BEEN TRYN TO FIND THE RIGHT COMBO OF FLAVORS TO MAKE A GYRO ME N MY FAMILY WOULD THOROUGHLY ENJOY...THINK I GOT IT :) DONT LET LONG LIST SCARE U AWAY ;))))))

4 - chicken breast, boneless n sliced
3/4 cup(s) balsamic vinegarette salad dressing
2 tablespoon(s) lemon juice
1 tablespoon(s) dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon(s) black pepper
TZATZIKI SAUCE
1/2 cup(s) cucumber peeled, seeded n shredded (i used grater n 1 lg cuc)
1 teaspoon(s) salt
2 cup(s) greek yogurt, plain
1/4 cup(s) sour cream
1 tablespoon(s) lemon juice
1/2 tablespoon(s) rice wine vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
2 tablespoon(s) olive oil
2 clove(s) garlic, grated (add more if u like)
1 tablespoon(s) fresh dill, chopped
1/2 teaspoon(s) oregano powder or dried n rolled thru fingers (to crush)
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
1/4 teaspoon(s) black pepper
4-5 - pita breads or flatbreads
GARNISH
1 - shredded romaine lettuce (1 head)
1 large sliced tomato
1 medium red onion, sliced
1 cup(s) feta cheese, crumbled (i do not do feta soooo its not in pix)

Steps:

  • IN A SMALL BOWL COMBINE BALSAMIC VINEGARETTE, 2 TBLSP. LEMON JUICE, OREGANO N 1/2 TSP. BLK. PEPPER. PLACE SLICED CHICKEN IN PLASTIC BAG POR MARINATE OVER SEAL BAG N REFRIGERATE FOR AN HOUR. (CAN B MARINATED LONGER)
  • IN A STRAINER OVER BOWL TOSS SHREDDED CUCUMBER WITH SALT N LET SIT FOR AN HOUR. SQUEEZE EXCESS LIQUID OUT N SET CUCUMBER ASIDE (DISCARD LIQUID)
  • IN A MED. BOWL MIX YOGURT, SOUR CREAM, 1 TBLS. LEMON JUICE, RICE WINE VINEGAR, OLIVE OIL, GRATED GARLIC, CHOPPD DILL N OREGANO. SQUEEZE OUT ANY EXTRA LIQUID FROM CUCUMBER N ADD TO BOWL. SEASON TO TASTE WITH SALT N BLACK PEPPER. COVER BOWL N REFRIGERATE FOR ATLEAST A FEW HOURS.
  • IN A LARGE PAN BROWN CHICKEN UNTIL COOKD THRU ABOUT10-15 MIN.
  • NUKE PITAS OR FLATBREADS TO MAKE WARM N PLIABLE ABOUT 15 SECONDS. FILL EACH WITH CHICKEN N GARNISHES THEN TOP WITH TZATZIKI SAUCE N FETA (IF U LIKE) N.....ENJOY!
