CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS WITH APRICOT GLAZE image

If your going to a party, try these drumsticks. It will be a hit, everybody loves drumsticks.

Number Of Ingredients 14

SAUCE:
1 tablespoon(s) butter
3/4 cup(s) chopped onion
2 teaspoon(s) finely chopped garlic
1/3 cup(s) teriyaki sauce
1/4 cup(s) firmly packed raw sugar
1/4 cup(s) dark molasses
1/4 cup(s) honey
1 - 14 ounce(s) bottle (1 1/3 ) cup ketchup
1/4 teaspoon(s) crushed red pepper
1/2 teaspoon(s) worcestershire sauce
1 - 12 ounce(s) jar apricot preserves
DRUMSTICKS:
3 TO 3 1/2 pound(s) chicken drumsticks

Steps:

  • Melt butter in 4 quart sauce pan until sizzling, add onion and garlic. Cook over medium heat, stirring often, until onion is softened (3 to 4 minutes). Stir in all remaining ingredients except apricot preserves. Continue cooking until sauce comes to a boil.
  • Reduce heat to low . Cook, stirring occasionally, 20 minutes. Stir in Apricot Preserves.
  • Heat oven to 400 degrees, Place drumsticks in lightly greased 13 by 9 inch baking pan. Pour sauce over drumsticks, stir to coat. Bake for 45to60 minutes, basting occasionally or until drumsticks are tender and sauce is thickened.
  • To serve, Keep chicken warm by placing in slow cooker on low heat setting If covered, sauce will become thin.
