Steps:
- Prepare rice according to directions, set aside. Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat, add flour, stirring until smooth. Cook 1 minute stirring constantly. Gradually add milk and broth, cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly. Combine sauce, chicken, mushrooms, peppers and rice. Pour into a lightly greased 2 quart casserole. Sprinkle with the nuts. Cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight. Remove casserole from refrigerator; let stand at room temperature 30 minutes. Remove cover and bake at 350 for 45 monutes.
