Cherry Macaroon Pie image

Was a guinea pig for my neighbor Mrs. Mary. My reward was this recipe and many others for everyone she compiled.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 (9 inch) pie crusts
1 (12 ounce) can cherry pie filling
1 egg
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 1/4 cups shredded coconut

Steps:

  • Pour pie filling in unbaked pie shell.
  • Beat together egg and evaporated milk.
  • Add sugar, flour, salt, almond, and vanilla extract, beat until smooth.
  • Stir in coconut.
  • Pour over pie filling.
  • Bake at 375, 40-45 minutes until puffed and light brown.
  • Cool before serving.
