Cherry Cream Gelatin Squares image

GELATIN
1 (6-ounce) package cherry flavor gelatin
2 cups boiling water
1 cup cold water
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 (21-ounce) can cherry pie filling
TOPPING
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup sour cream
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened

Steps:

  • 1. In large bowl, dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Stir in cold water, lemon juice, almond extract and pie filling. Pour into ungreased 13x9-inch (3-quart) baking dish. Refrigerate until firm, about 4 hours.2. In small bowl, combine all topping ingredients beat until smooth. Carefully spread over firm gelatin.
