Cheesy Onion Casserole image

So delicious we all ate so much we hardly touched anything else at the meal. My company couldn't wait to get the recipe and try it for themselves. An amazing dish!

Number Of Ingredients 8

3 Tbsp butter
3 large sweet onions
8 oz shredded swiss cheese
1 can(s) cream of chicken soup
3 Tbsp parmesan cheese
2/3 c milk
1 tsp soy sauce
8 slice french bread

Steps:

  • 1. Grease a 2-quart baking dish. In a large skillet melt butter over medium-high heat; add in onions and sauté until translucent and slightly brown, then season with salt to taste.
  • 2. Cool and mix in all the cheeses and the soup mixed with milk and soy sauce. Stir gently.
  • 3. Toast French bread slices, cut in cubes and set aside. Bake onion mixture uncovered at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove from oven.
  • 4. Push bread under onion mixture then sprinkle with remaining cheese; bake 15 minutes longer. Serve.
