Cheesy Ham and Potatoes image

My family loves having this on a cold day, it really warms them up. It's thick like a stew so I love to serve it with homemade dinner rolls, so they can dip them in the gravy. Oh so yummy and it is easy on the pocket book.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 pkg country style gravy mix (enough to make 2 cups)
1 can(s) cream of chicken soup (or mushroom)
5 c water
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp ground pepper
8 c peeled and cubed potatoes
4 c cooked and cubed ham (leftover works great)
2 c cheddar cheese, shredded

Steps:

  • 1. Mix the first six(6) ingredients together in a six to eight quart slow cooker until well blended.
  • 2. Stir in your cubed ham and potatoes.
  • 3. Turn your slow cooker to low and cook for 6-8 hours.
  • 4. When done turn off your slow cooker and stir in your cheddar cheese until it's all melted. Serve with rolls,toast or biscuits!
