CAULIFLOWER WITH GRUYERE SAUCE image

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 head cauliflower
4 tsp flour
1 cup half-and-half
2 ounces gruyere, shredded
1 Tbsp chives, snipped (or parsley)
1 small clove garlic, minced
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • 1. Trim cauliflower and break into bite-size florets. Steam until tender. 2. Meanwhile, Whisk flour with 2 Tbsp half-and-half until smooth. Heat the remaining milk in a saucepan over medium heat until steaming. Add the flour mixture; cook, whisking, until the sauce bubbles and thickens, 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in cheese, herb, garlic salt and pepper. Serve over cauliflower.
